Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Firmware Engineer to join the NVLink team within its Networking organization. This role focuses on developing software for next-generation PHY, SERDES, and link-level devices, contributing to the integration of powerful AI and high-performance computing systems. The engineer will be responsible for the test and validation of software, ensuring high-quality firmware integration. Candidates should have a passion for low-level development and hardware-software integration.

Requirements

  • B.Sc/Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor, networking, or embedded systems.
  • Strong programming knowledge in C and C++, with a solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with hardware/software verification and test automation.
  • Deep working knowledge of the Linux environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop high-performance software and firmware for PHY and link-level devices within the NVLink ecosystem.
  • Take full ownership of delivering advanced networking features from design to final verification.
  • Own, define, develop, and maintain robust verification infrastructure and regression test suites.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and manage the end-to-end interface to NVIDIA's core CSP customers.
  • Work closely with Continuous Integration systems and regression tools to automate builds and analyze test results.
  • Bring creative ideas to elevate NVIDIA products to the next level of quality and reliability.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
