·FY 2025Job description
NVIDIA is seeking an intern for a role in AI and Systems Software focused on datacenter applications. The intern will engage in system-level debugging and analyze large-scale infrastructure reliability. This position involves working with cutting-edge Accelerated Computing and Deep Learning technologies while collaborating with various specialists to enhance workflows and develop innovative solutions. The role provides an opportunity to learn about hardware validation and contribute to data-driven engineering decisions.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting for automation and tool development.
- Proven debugging skills with an ability to isolate issues in complex, distributed systems.
- Exposure to high-performance computing (HPC) environments, cluster managers, or large-scale distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and triage failures within large-scale compute clusters, performing deep-dive analysis to distinguish between software glitches, configuration errors, and hardware faults.
- Analyze logs and telemetry to correlate specific job failures to system-level issues and diagnostic test failures.
- Assist with the tracking, calculation, and reporting on key reliability metrics to drive infrastructure improvements.
- Assist in analyzing large-scale workload issues to ensure jobs run as fast and reliably as possible.
- Work closely with a mentor to learn about hardware validation suite architecture and document debugging methodologies.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
