Job description

The Strategic Supply Chain Management Engineering Program Manager will play a pivotal role in Apple's Hardware Engineering organization, focusing on DRAM technology strategy and supplier engagement. This position requires a deep understanding of the memory and semiconductor industry to drive technology decisions and engineering qualification programs. The manager will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the successful ramp-up of complex memory devices across Apple's product lines. This role includes international travel to supplier sites, primarily in Korea and Taiwan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 20+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor or memory technology development.
  • Proven experience in NPI program management with direct technical engagement with memory or semiconductor suppliers.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of the DRAM/memory industry, including technology roadmaps and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own DRAM technology strategy from technology selection through long-term roadmap alignment.
  • Drive decisions on technology adoption, build priorities, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide engineering-informed inputs to NPI supply cost models in partnership with Global Supply Management.
  • Optimize supplier engineering performance by monitoring key metrics such as yield, quality, and reliability.
  • Rapidly synthesize complex engineering and supply data into clear narratives for senior leadership.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
