Job description
The Optical Sensing team at Apple is seeking electrical engineers with a focus on analog and board-level design. This role involves developing next-generation optical sensing technologies for various Apple products. Candidates should be proactive and possess experience with photodiode front-ends and LED/VCSEL drivers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver innovative sensing solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related field is required.
- Experience in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design is necessary.
- Hands-on experience with board-level circuit design and lab equipment is required.
- Scripting experience for data analysis and automation is preferred.
- Experience with ANSYS, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong teamwork abilities and self-motivation to tackle technical challenges are required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and launch next-generation optical sensing technologies.
- Analyze data to draw conclusions and enhance product design and manufacturability.
- Drive failure analysis to improve product reliability.
- Collaborate with Optical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Test Engineers, and Software Engineers.
- Support volume manufacturing, including test design and statistical analysis.
