Job description
The AirPods Firmware team is seeking an enthusiastic engineer to contribute to the development of the audio platform for Apple's consumer audio products. This individual contributor role focuses on architecting and developing key technologies that manage data and system states. The position requires collaboration with a cross-functional team to innovate and improve product quality. Candidates should be passionate about product ownership and possess excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
- 5+ years of proven excellence in firmware, embedded software, or embedded product development.
- Solid C/C++ coding abilities and experience implementing firmware in RTOS environments.
- Knowledge of embedded software fundamentals, including design and development flows.
- Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's degree in Science or Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Experience with configuration and release management using git.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams on large scale software projects.
