Job description
The Apple Machine Translation team is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer/SDET to lead the test automation strategy for the Translate app and related client products. This role involves ensuring high-quality standards for machine translation features across various Apple platforms, including iOS and macOS. The engineer will work closely with product engineering and modeling teams to develop effective test plans and automation frameworks. The position requires a strong focus on both functional and non-functional testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
- Fluency in Swift, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience in client-side and UI testing using technologies like XCTest, XCUITest, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with developing mobile test automation and frameworks.
- Deep understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Proven experience in software QA creating test plans for new products and features.
- Excellent communication skills due to high interaction with engineering teams and management.
