Job description
The CPU Circuit Technology team is seeking a CPU Memory Design Engineer to design and develop various memory technologies for Intel CPUs and SOCs. This role involves collaborating with domain experts to innovate high-performance, low-power embedded memory designs. The engineer will work in a dynamic environment focusing on circuit activities, including memory circuit design and optimization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a STEM-related field with 4+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; or PhD.
- Proficiency in CMOS circuit design, digital logic optimizations, and circuit trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
- Expertise in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits and design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-custom and compiler-based SRAMs, Large Signal Arrays, ROMs, and custom memories.
- Conduct technical readiness, memory circuit design, characterization, and simulations.
- Perform cache design, critical path simulations, and design custom blocks to meet Power/Performance/Area constraints.
- Engage in memory path-finding activities and optimize power, performance, and area.
- Design memory bit-cells and complex periphery ICs, including automation.
- Define methodologies and execute project schedules.
