Job description
The role is for an engineering project leader within Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Ops Engineering, focusing on developing next-generation sortation and transportation systems. The Concept Development & Design Team supports retrofit designs and solutions for future projects. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal and external teams to create high-quality, cost-effective solutions. This position offers a high level of ownership in solving complex problems and requires up to 25% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, and quality management.
- 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment network.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively communicating with business partners.
- Evaluate solutions and make decisions that balance business value and technology risk.
- Identify standards and drive consistent application of engineering changes across North America.
