The Amazon Payments Products team is seeking a software engineer to develop innovative payment methods and support Amazon's credit card offerings. The Unified Financing Offers (UFO) team focuses on creating services that enhance customer experiences by delivering the right financial offers at the right time. This role involves tackling complex problems at the intersection of technology, science, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to building high-quality distributed software applications.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed software applications
- Write high quality distributed system software
- Estimate support effort and plan implementation of quality features
- Ensure system changes meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams
- Provide on-call production support for payment platform applications
