Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization is seeking a software engineer to join a new team focused on supply chain operations. This team will deploy autonomous agents to enhance metric analysis and automate operational tasks, transforming supply chain systems. The role involves designing and deploying AI systems that facilitate intelligent decision-making for Amazon's global delivery network. Candidates will work with generative AI and machine learning technologies to build high-performance applications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Knowledge of general AI tools
  • Experience building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale

Responsibilities

  • Contribute significantly to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Provide operational support for the team by identifying and resolving root causes of operational issues.
  • Participate in the code review process, offering meaningful feedback to peers.
  • Balance customer requirements with team requirements.
  • Take on projects where the business problem and technology strategy are understood but need further implementation.
  • Mentor and help develop team members, and participate in recruiting and interviewing.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
