Job description

The role is for an experienced software development engineer focused on enhancing Amazon Neptune, a fully-managed graph database service. Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
  • Knowledge of database internals, query planning, and optimization
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver new algorithms and features for Neptune's database service.
  • Participate in project execution to develop database service capabilities.
  • Create metrics and implement automation to improve software architecture.
  • Resolve the root cause of software defects.
  • Build high-impact solutions for a large customer base.
  • Engage in design discussions and code reviews with team members.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally to influence business decisions with technical input.
