Job description
In this role at Apple, you will design and oversee critical CNC processes and equipment used to produce innovative products. You will collaborate closely with teams in Product Design, Industrial Design, and Manufacturing Design, as well as global suppliers. The focus will be on ensuring optimal design for CNC manufacturing, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining. Your contributions will have substantial global impacts, leveraging data and hands-on development to guide key decisions.
Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD / CAM software
- Ability to design machining manufacturing processes from concept to implementation
- Ability to provide manufacturability feedback to designers
- Hands-on CNC machining experience
- Experience with machining, cutting-tool selection, and fixture design
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20%)
- Manufacturing experience with high-cosmetic parts
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD/CAM
- CNC Process Qualification
- Experience in statistical analysis and process control
- Experience with CNC controllers
- Experience with turning and/or 5-axis milling
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee CNC processes and equipment for product manufacturing.
