The role involves system-level troubleshooting and escalation support within KLA's Global Products Group, focusing on patterned wafer inspection systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The team is dedicated to enhancing system performance and reliability while managing product lifecycle activities. Candidates will work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams to resolve complex technical issues. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate effectively across various functions.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field with no experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience resolving complex technical issues.
- Experience working with integrated systems including optical, mechanical, electrical, or software.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across engineering and operations teams.
- Travel required up to 75%.
- Semiconductor capital equipment experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of complex field and manufacturing escalations.
- Perform root cause analysis across hardware, software, optics, and algorithms.
- Develop and implement improvements to enhance system performance, reliability, and serviceability.
- Support engineering changes, validation, and release of updates to existing products.
- Identify and resolve component obsolescence issues.
- Conduct testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of system performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and field service to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Develop troubleshooting procedures, diagnostics, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to service and manufacturing teams.
