As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead cross-functional projects focused on developing and delivering advanced sortation and distribution solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely project execution while managing technology integration and equipment vendor relationships. This role requires significant regional travel and the ability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
• 4+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies, and storage solutions
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
• Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology is preferred
• Experience managing third-party vendors
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

• Manage the lifecycle of challenging projects and deliver on project objectives and targets.
• Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions on system architecture and facility processes.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to set project priorities and drive schedules.
• Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs per established standards.
• Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Articulate system and equipment designs, including layouts and technical specifications.
• Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiencies.
