The Senior Security Engineer role at Amazon's Ads Security organization focuses on creating innovative AI-powered solutions to detect and mitigate security risks within Amazon's Advertising businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security engineering and experience deploying AI solutions at scale. • 5+ years of experience in application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience utilizing AI/ML technologies for security use cases.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, with experience in at least one of Java, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud security architecture, preferably AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Design and build AI-powered security automation solutions to fix security issues at scale.
• Develop and maintain agentic AI workflows that enable faster security issue resolution.
• Build evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to continuously measure and improve AI-driven security tools.
• Partner with other teams to fine-tune models for specific use cases in Amazon Ads.
• Define technical roadmaps for security automation initiatives and influence organizational priorities.
• Author and review technical design documents, threat models, and architecture proposals.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for secure AI/ML system development.
• Establish operational excellence standards for AI security systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations for security automation services.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and strategic decisions.
