Job description
The AWS EMR Control Plane team is seeking engineers to work on scaling a heavily used AWS service focused on large-scale distributed systems. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior engineers and work on innovative features for Amazon EMR, the leading cloud-native big data platform. Candidates will engage with various AWS technologies and contribute to solving complex problems while learning from domain experts. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience in networking, large-scale distributed systems or a related field
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team to develop innovative features for Amazon EMR
- Work on scaling and improving the performance of AWS services
- Engage with various AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, Lambdas, and EC2
- Learn and apply knowledge of distributed systems and big data processing
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards
