Job description

The Business Intelligence Engineer will join the BI Engineering, Analytics, & Data Science team at Amazon Robotics, focusing on Robotic Storage Tech programs. This role involves owning the BI portfolio for robotic solutions, developing dashboards and reports that facilitate data-driven decisions. The engineer will also establish standards for BI solutions to ensure scalability and reliability as technology evolves. Collaboration with various teams and applying statistical analysis will be key to supporting engineering evaluations and program decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience in Python.
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for RST robotic solutions.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures for dashboard lifecycle management.
  • Identify and onboard new data sources, define metrics, and build data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Program Managers, and engineering teams.
  • Execute foundational statistical methods to support engineering evaluations and program decisions.
  • Author recommendation-focused whitepapers and deep-dive analyses for technology development.
