The role involves leading the design and development of server products within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to create innovative solutions that meet customer needs. The position requires a focus on system reliability and performance while addressing complex architectural challenges. You will have the opportunity to influence product roadmaps and drive the development of next-generation hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in design, innovation, research and development, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • In-depth expertise in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical design, and signal integrity.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring others.
  • 3+ years of new hardware product development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical solutions for complex storage and accelerator server architectural challenges.
  • Own end-to-end system reliability and proactively resolve deficiencies.
  • Design and implement solutions to address system-level issues at large scale.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and product management teams.
  • Develop and implement diagnostic tools and monitoring solutions for production systems.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
