The Rights & Pricing engineering team at Apple is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of backend pricing systems that support Apple Services. This role involves validating backend services, APIs, and pricing workflows while collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a passion for building scalable automation solutions. The focus will be on delivering high-quality software that impacts customer experience and product quality.

• 2+ years of professional experience in software quality engineering, QA automation, or software testing.
• Programming proficiency in Python or another modern, object-oriented language.
• Demonstrated experience testing backend systems, REST APIs, or service integrations.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests using a structured framework.
• Working familiarity with REST API concepts and tooling.
• Working familiarity with CI/CD pipeline concepts.
• Ability to debug and investigate failures across application logic and API behavior.
• Foundational understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with pytest or comparable backend automation frameworks.
• Experience validating complex business logic in pricing systems or financial workflows.
• Experience with data validation and SQL.
• Familiarity with distributed systems or service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments.
• Experience with observability and debugging tooling.
• Experience evaluating or applying AI-assisted testing tools.
• Ability to communicate technical quality findings to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to test strategy documentation.
