The position requires collaboration on new sensing and actuator technologies to enhance user experiences. The candidate will also be responsible for failure analysis and defining engineering requirements for new Silicon chips. This position is based in Cupertino, California, with some international travel required.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- 1 year of experience with system integration for various hardware technologies with microcontrollers and FPGA.
- 1 year of experience performing failure analysis and hardware debugging.
- 1 year of experience generating functional and test specifications.
- 1 year of experience bringing up hardware prototypes and evaluating performance using software and bench tools.
- 1 year of experience using big dataset statistical analysis for hardware characterization.
- 1 year of experience performing electromechanical system analysis, modeling, and characterization.
- 1 year of experience coding in MATLAB/Python for raw signal processing and statistical analysis.
- 1 year of experience analyzing sensing systems within mechatronic platforms.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design the haptics subsystem, including component selections and schematics.
- Run module and system simulations to predict post-integration performance.
- Validate system and module performance and conduct lab characterization.
- Co-author and own test requirements definition for module and system levels.
- Collaborate on proof-of-concept investigations of new sensing and actuator technologies.
- Co-author and own Engineering Requirements and Specifications documents for new Silicon chips.
