Job description

This role is part of Intel's CPU development team, focusing on designing cutting-edge core IP for various computing segments including client, server, IOTG, and AI. The position involves working with advanced microprocessor architecture and emphasizes power efficiency. The team is responsible for innovating and optimizing CPU designs to enhance performance and reliability. Candidates will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure high-quality design outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the synthesis of a digital logic block or partition.
  • At least 1 completion of Tape Out on advanced technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience with integrated circuit design tools including logic synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • 4+ years of experience in chip physical design verification including formal equivalence and electrical rules.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical design implementation of custom CPU designs from RTL to GDS.
  • Conduct all aspects of the CPU physical design flow including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
  • Conduct verification and signoff including formal equivalence verification and static timing analysis.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations to improve current and future CPU microarchitectures.
  • Work with industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities for designing high-speed, low-power CPUs.
