Job description

Apple is seeking a Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Process Engineer to design and develop new display architecture in Cupertino, California. This role involves coordinating with display suppliers and vendors to enhance TFT technology. Requirements

  • PhD or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science) or related field.
  • Experience in semiconductor device physics and processes for design specifications.
  • Knowledge of display equipment design and operations using CVD, PVD, and etching.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis methods using SEM, TEM, EDS, FTIR, FIB, or SIMS.
  • Experience in material metrology and composition analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop processes to fabricate TFT for modern displays.
  • Coordinate the development of TFT technology with suppliers and vendors.
  • Benchmark the performance and reliability of display panels using TFT device analysis.
  • Apply multi-analysis methods for non-intrusive and intrusive imaging.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes using experimental data and analytical methods.
