Job description
This role at Apple involves deploying and maintaining large scale distributed software systems in a production environment. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 3 years of experience using Unix, Linux, and Shell Scripts.
- 3 years of experience with Load Balancers, DNS, and Nginx.
- 3 years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- 3 years of experience managing Configuration management using Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
- 3 years of experience in large scale production monitoring and troubleshooting.
- 3 years of experience utilizing Docker, Jenkins, and GitOps principles.
- 3 years of experience with Web and REST for Microservices application architecture.
- 3 years of experience managing application deployments using cloud vendors.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain large scale distributed software systems on production.
- Design and develop fully automated scalable CI/CD build and release systems.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to enable faster software release delivery.
- Design and maintain scalable and fault tolerant production serving infrastructure.
- Manage production host clusters across multiple regions.
- Maintain all production infrastructure, including hardware and software upgrades.
- Employ knowledge for quick troubleshooting of large production system issues.
- Develop monitoring systems to proactively detect production issues.
- Conduct immediate triaging for any P1 incidents impacting Apple Retail and Customers.
- Develop production operation tools for effective troubleshooting.
