Job description

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team, focusing on building customer trust through security and compliance. The role involves designing and implementing Generative AI solutions to automate audit workflows and enhance security processes. This position offers the opportunity to influence projects across multiple products while mentoring other developers and improving agile processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement agentic AI-based solutions that automate complex workflows.
  • Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage while mentoring other developers.
  • Engineer systems for Amazon scale and ensure continuous resiliency and capacity testing.
  • Design highly available, secure, distributed systems of microservices.
  • Work on Agile projects with high visibility and make continuous improvements.
  • Have full ownership and operate the systems built based on real-time customer data.
