Job description

The Selling Partner Growth organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to develop innovative technology solutions that empower sellers on Amazon. This role involves collaborating with scientists, product managers, and engineers to create scalable systems that enhance the seller and customer experience. The engineer will manage the entire product lifecycle, from design to deployment and operations. A strong focus on translating business problems into engineering solutions is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to design and build innovative products and services.
  • Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and fault-tolerant.
  • Leverage and contribute to the development of AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
  • Work in an agile environment practicing CI/CD principles.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and resolving production issues.
