Job description

Amazon Web Services’ Network Products Development team is seeking experienced hardware engineering professionals to contribute to the development of next generation networking platforms. The role focuses on delivering advanced Ethernet switching platforms for data centers. Candidates should have strong experience in modular chassis based enterprise and carrier products. The position requires expertise in manufacturing processes and collaboration with overseas partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain)
  • 8+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience with SMT assembly processes
  • Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly for HDI boards
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, J-STD-001)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and SPC methods
  • Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) is a plus
  • Experience in SMT, PCB fabrication, and sheetmetal fabrication
  • Knowledge of high-speed interconnect technology (400G/800G optics, PCIe, SerDes)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next generation networking platforms.
  • Support product life cycle after production release, including supply chain support.
  • Interface with outside vendors and developers to ensure project success.
  • Conduct thermal process validation and ensure compliance with IPC standards.
  • Engage in problem solving and root cause analysis during manufacturing processes.
