This role is for engineers to innovate on Amazon Aurora Serverless, an on-demand, auto-scaling database service. You will collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement systems that manage thousands of databases. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence product direction and technology in a fast-growing AWS service. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and inclusion.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of significant system software components for database services.
- Architect, design, and implement highly scalable distributed database systems.
- Build web service APIs and workflows to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
- Collaborate with a team of talented engineers to innovate and improve database technology.
