Job description
The role is for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on developing Generative AIUX products for AWS customers. The team aims to transform design processes through AI-powered tools, enhancing user experiences while ensuring trust and transparency. The engineer will work on products like Venue and Arena, which facilitate rapid prototyping and design generation. This position offers the opportunity to influence product direction and contribute to a culture of innovation and mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
- Experience with emerging generative and agentic technologies
- Experience in machine learning and data science
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with the full software development life cycle
- Experience with agentic orchestration
- Prior experience working with AWS applications is a plus
- Experience with Bedrock, Kiro, or Claude is a plus
Responsibilities
- Integrate with systems to manage asynchronous data flows from LLMs and other AI services
- Ensure maximum speed and responsiveness of AI-driven interfaces
- Design and own end-to-end systems, including backend services and frontend integration
- Build and evolve GenAI-powered services that support design generation and automation workflows
- Contribute to long-term technical vision and architecture decisions
- Balance short-term delivery with scalable and maintainable system design
- Work with internal teams to understand needs and translate them into robust solutions
- Contribute to hiring and mentor junior engineers
