Job description
The AWS EMR Control Plane team is seeking engineers to work on scaling a widely used AWS service focused on large-scale distributed systems. This role offers the chance to collaborate with senior engineers and tackle complex challenges in big data processing. Engineers will work with a variety of AWS technologies and contribute to innovative features for Amazon EMR. A passion for engineering and a willingness to learn are highly valued in this collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers on complex problems
- Develop innovative features for the next-generation cluster and work management system
- Improve real-time processing of big data
- Enable customers to interact more easily with their data
- Work with various AWS technologies including DynamoDB, Lambdas, and EC2
