Job description
As a Software Engineer II in Microsoft's Azure OneFleet team, you will focus on building hyperscale solutions to manage and scale infrastructure across multiple clouds. This role emphasizes backend engineering to support new types of capacity, including AI and supercomputing. You will contribute to the national security mission of the US government while also addressing public cloud demands. The position allows for a hybrid work environment, with the possibility of remote work except for secure tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Use appropriate artificial intelligence tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Support efforts to proactively verify assumptions before issues occur for product features in production.
- Review product feature code and test code to ensure it meets team standards.
- Create and implement code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
- Understand and provide feedback for proposals for architecture.
- Develop a clear test strategy that ensures solution quality.
- Contribute to identifying dependencies and incorporate them into design documents.
- Maintain operations of live site service, following security best practices.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand and determine customer/user requirements.
