Job description

The Senior Technical Product Manager will work within the Cloud+AI Microsoft Specialized Clouds team, focusing on deploying and operating services that support mission-critical workloads. This role involves collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure systems meet security and assurance requirements. The manager will translate customer needs into scalable capabilities and drive the product roadmap. The position also emphasizes cultural leadership and collaboration across diverse teams to enhance Azure's offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not require employer sponsorship.
  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • 6+ years of software development, product management, or technical program management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the cloud roadmap by translating customer needs into scalable capabilities, tools, and processes.
  • Partner closely with customers and sales teams to gather signals and lead requirements workshops.
  • Synthesize customer and market insights to drive prioritization decisions.
  • Collaborate across engineering and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization and ensure cloud architecture is positioned to scale.
  • Establish and maintain regular communications about the status of the cloud and upcoming developments.
  • Pull stakeholders together to align on a shared vision and work effectively across broad teams.
  • Lead cultural initiatives to positively impact team morale and foster an environment of inclusion.
