Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Ads Safety Infrastructure team at Google, you will play a critical role in designing and evolving systems that protect the advertising ecosystem. This position focuses on addressing complex infrastructure challenges and mentoring junior engineers while working on large-scale data processing and analytics. You will lead the development of high-performance platforms for policy enforcement and contribute to the re-architecture of legacy systems for the AI era. The role requires versatility and a passion for pushing technology forward in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
  • 3 years of experience in software design, architecture, and development of large-scale distributed systems.
  • 3 years of experience with back-end infrastructure development using C++.
  • Experience building and maintaining data processing pipelines or database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of the next-generation platform for policy enforcement.
  • Architect and evolve a high-throughput distributed data warehouse for real-time data ingestion.
  • Drive the re-architecture of large-scale indexing and search infrastructure.
  • Partner with the product team to translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps.
  • Lead technical excellence through design reviews, mentorship, and modern engineering best practices.
