Job description
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead geotechnical tasks and oversee the delivery of various projects, focusing on medium- to large-scale civil infrastructure projects in the water and transportation sectors. This role requires collaboration within a large interdisciplinary design team and interaction with clients to support business development efforts. You will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced staff and contribute to advancing the technical capabilities of the geotechnical group. The position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and offers a hybrid work setup.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- M.S/Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering
- 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience with a focus on heavy infrastructure projects
- PE license
- 10 or more years of geotechnical design experience in the dams market preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of geotechnical data collection programs and analyses.
- Prepare technical reports and contract documents.
- Provide support during project construction phases.
- Mentor less experienced staff and assist in their professional development.
- Interact with clients and support business development efforts.
