The Engineering Manager will lead a small team within the Apple Media Products Commerce team, responsible for building and operating server-side commerce systems. This role involves overseeing the team's technical direction, delivery, and growth while ensuring that the systems handle purchases and subscriptions effectively. The manager will work closely with engineers on design and execution, and will also engage with partner organizations to meet roadmap commitments. This is a hands-on management position that requires technical credibility and the ability to contribute directly when necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 to 2 years managing engineers directly or as a project lead.
- Production experience with Java and service-oriented architectures.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra.
- Experience shipping and operating RESTful services at scale.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers in building and operating server-side commerce systems.

- Work across AMP and partner organizations to land roadmap commitments.
