This role is for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon, focusing on creating and launching large distributed systems. The team, TCX Engineering, is dedicated to building customer-facing experiences and delivering technical documentation for AWS. The position requires strong software engineering skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers while working in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals
Responsibilities
- Design and own technical software AI-powered components that are scalable and easy to maintain
- Provide guidance on technology choices and drive adoption of engineering best practices
- Perform hands-on coding and solve ambiguous problems
- Mentor team members and perform design and code reviews
- Communicate with Product, senior leadership, and other stakeholders
- Work backwards from customer needs to design technical solutions
