Job description

The Front-End Engineer II role at Amazon Quick involves designing and delivering complex, scalable front-end capabilities across web and mobile platforms. The team focuses on creating AI-powered user experiences while fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and mentorship. Candidates should have a strong track record in shipping customer-facing features and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes collaboration with UX designers and product managers to create polished interfaces.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and hands-on development of front-end architecture, UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of front-end feature delivery from technical design through implementation, testing, and release.
  • Champion agile methodologies and front-end DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated UI testing.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and science partners to translate customer needs into accessible interfaces.
  • Write clean, well-tested front-end code and participate in code and design reviews.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
