Job description

NVIDIA is seeking Senior Physical Design Engineers to join its Networking Silicon engineering team. The role focuses on developing high-speed communication devices with an emphasis on physical design and implementation of SOC devices for networking markets. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to methodologies, automation, and chip development processes. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a technology-driven company.

Requirements

  • BSEE / MSEE or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in VLSI physical design implementation on 5nm, 4nm and 3nm technology.
  • Strong power user of P&R, Timing Analysis, Physical Verification, IR Drop Analysis, and CAD tools from Synopsys and Cadence.
  • Experience in timing closure, clock/power distribution and analysis, RC extraction and correlation, place/route and tapeout solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl, Tcl, and Make scripting is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of physical design and implementation of SOC devices targeted at the networking markets.
  • Participate in establishing physical design methodologies and flow automation.
  • Involve in chip floorplan, power/clock distribution, chip assembly, and P&R.
  • Conduct trial synthesis, power and clock distribution, place and route, timing closure, and physical verification.
