As a SOC Design and Integration Engineer in the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips (SoCs). Your work will directly impact the functionality of Apple products, ensuring they meet the needs of millions of customers. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to integrate complex IPs and support front-end integration activities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and effective communication across internal groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of the chip development process with proficiency in front-end tools and methodologies.
  • Experience writing specifications and converting them to design.
  • Experience with multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces.
  • Experience with AMBA Fabric architecture (AXI, AHB, APB) is required.
  • Experience with formal verification techniques is desirable.
  • Experience or knowledge of system architecture, CPU & IP Integration, and power and clock management designs is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all internal groups.
  • Familiarity with software and operating concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write microarchitecture and/or design specifications.
  • Design, implement, and debug complex logic designs.
  • Integrate complex IPs into the SOC.
  • Support all front-end integration activities like Lint, CDC, Synthesis, and ECO.
  • Work with other engineers that are members of the SOC Design, SOC Design Verification, Emulation, Formal verification, STA, and Physical Design teams.
  • Collaborate with software and systems teams to ensure a high-quality end product.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
