In this role within the Siri and Information Intelligence organization, you will focus on enhancing user experiences through the development of generative AI-based models and systems. Your work will involve understanding user context and information-seeking needs to deliver accurate and intuitive assistance on Apple devices. You will leverage advanced reinforcement learning techniques to improve LLM-based models and create delightful user experiences. Collaborating with various organizational partners, you will have a significant impact on billions of Apple users worldwide.

• 10+ years of R&D experience leading engineering, applied research, or machine learning experiences in search and natural language processing.
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning with a specialty in reinforcement learning, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in information retrieval, machine learning, and natural language processing, particularly in reinforcement learning-based post-training on LLM models.
• Strong product intuition and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Growth mindset and ability to learn new technologies.

• Drive LLM-based question answering and personal content search.
• Develop advanced reinforcement learning algorithms and synthetic/human data pipelines.
• Evangelize the generative AI technology vision and strategy.
