The Engineering Analyst for Google Ads within the Trust and Safety team is responsible for identifying and addressing threats against Google Ads accounts, particularly in the areas of hijacking and scaled abuse. This role requires strong investigative and technical skills to solve complex problems at scale while collaborating with engineering and product teams. The analyst will leverage data analysis to provide insights and improve security measures, ensuring a safe experience for users and advertisers. The position emphasizes a proactive approach to maintaining user trust and safety across Google products.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with abuse/fraud detection or web security research.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends and drawing insights using SQL or Python.

• Provide detailed qualitative and quantitative understanding of the Ads account takeover and scaled abuse threat landscape.
• Design and build early warning alerts for novel and changing threats.
• Manage the response to incidents affecting Google Ads accounts.
• Work with vendor teams to scale operational work to protect Google Ads accounts.
• Review graphic, controversial, and offensive content as well as on-call schedules outside of working hours.
