Job description

The Software Engineer, Silicon Systems Software role at Google focuses on developing low-level software for the Tensor SoC and Pixel devices. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • Experience with performance modeling, performance analysis, or simulation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain low-level software utilizing C, C++, or Rust for the Tensor SoC and Pixel ecosystem.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate the viability of solutions proposed by the architecture team.
  • Participate in hardware/software design discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system-level solutions.
  • Drive performance modeling, simulation, and analysis to predict system behavior and guide architectural trade-offs.
  • Analyze, optimize, and debug complex low-level system behaviors and hardware-software interfaces.
