The engineer will ensure seamless integration of AI applications and collaborate with various teams, including GPU driver, CUDA, and firmware. This hands-on position requires deep technical expertise in both operating systems to deliver a polished, production-ready experience for customers. The engineer will also engage with external partners like Microsoft and ODM/OEMs to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of confirmed experience in systems software engineering with expertise in Windows platform enablement and OS integration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows internals including kernel-mode drivers and the WHQL certification process.
  • Solid understanding of Linux platform enablement including kernel modules and systemd.
  • Experience with GPU driver stack and familiarity with DirectX and GPU compute APIs.
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across firmware, driver, and OS boundaries.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end Windows enablement for DGX Station, ensuring it meets customer-ready shipping quality.
  • Drive Linux bring-up and continuous enablement for DGX Station on DGX OS / Ubuntu.
  • Enable and validate BIOS/UEFI and system-level firmware for both Windows and Linux.
  • Coordinate GPU driver integration and validation on Windows and Linux.
  • Ensure the CUDA toolkit and NVIDIA’s AI SDK stack are fully functional on DGX Station.
  • Validate NVIDIA AI applications run correctly on DGX Station across both operating systems.
  • Drive the overall test strategy for DGX Station, including functional and stress testing.
  • Be the primary technical interface with Microsoft and ODM/OEM partners.
  • Profile and optimize system performance across both operating systems.
  • Create and maintain platform documentation for DGX Station.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
