Job description
The Core OS EPM team at Apple is looking for a Core Platform EPM manager to lead a group of project managers focused on pre-silicon bring-up, hardware program readiness, and silicon software enablement across Apple's product lines. This role involves driving critical software bring-up activities and collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure successful silicon program delivery. The manager will be responsible for hiring, developing, and mentoring team members while coordinating efforts across hardware and software organizations. This position offers the opportunity to influence and improve processes at scale within the Core Platform engineering organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 2+ years of managing project managers and experience in managing people managers
- Demonstrated ability to drive large cross-functional programs spanning software, hardware, and silicon organizations
- Strong mentorship and leadership skills with a proven ability to guide, develop, and inspire others
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, consultation, and organizational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence key decisions
- Experience with leading and enhancing existing processes and engineering new processes at scale
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience driving embedded silicon bring-up projects
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of project managers responsible for pre-silicon bring-up and hardware program readiness
- Coordinate across hardware and software organizations to drive pre-silicon and bring-up readiness for new Apple SoCs
- Collaborate with program management leaders to improve silicon program delivery at scale
- Hire, develop, coach, and inspire Core Platform EPMs within the engineering organization
- Drive critical pre-silicon software bring-up activities including firmware initialization and hardware validation
