Job description
The Product Engineer role at Apple Cloud AI Platform focuses on developing AI-driven systems and solutions that enhance intelligent experiences across Apple products. The team collaborates closely with internal customers to understand their needs and translate them into production-ready solutions. Engineers will work across the technology stack, from data ingestion to model execution and UI integration. This position requires a proactive and adaptable mindset to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver effective AI-powered solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience building production systems, full-stack applications, data workflows, ML-powered products, or platform tooling, or 5+ years with an MS or PhD.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Node.js, and Webpack.
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with modern AI and data infrastructure, including Spark, Ray, gRPC, GraphQL, REST, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud environments, distributed systems, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with internal customers to understand their use cases and evaluate technical requirements.
- Build AI-driven systems and solutions that leverage Apple Cloud AI Platform capabilities.
- Prototype quickly and harden solutions for production.
- Document best practices and patterns while working closely with platform engineering groups.
- Drive alignment and deliver systems that enhance the developer experience.
