The Joint Mobile Engineering Team (JMET) at Apple is seeking a skilled engineer to work on server-side software development that enhances the security and functionality of Apple products. • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in backend system development
• Experience with object-oriented programming and design, including Java
• Experience with Spring Boot and Microservices for building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases, such as Oracle and Cassandra
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG is a plus
• Experience with event stream systems and asynchronous backend services, such as Kafka or Rabbit, is a plus
• Knowledge of C is a plus
• Experience in the wireless industry or client/server development involving iOS or other mobile platforms is preferred

• Participate in initiatives that are crucial to the success of upcoming product launches and security initiatives
• Design, implement, and support server-side solutions that improve customer safety and privacy
• Work with partners, project managers, and cross-disciplinary teams to understand and capture requirements
• Develop high-quality, highly scalable multi-tenant applications that can adapt to changing business needs
