Job description
As a Manufacturing Design Engineer at KLA, you will support the Production team by assisting with the assembly, testing, certification, and shipment of products. You will collaborate with various departments, including Quality, Engineering, and Sales, to address challenges and improve processes. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and requires strong problem-solving skills to enhance product quality and cycle times. You will also be involved in the development of technical documentation and the release of new products into manufacturing.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Physics/Materials Science is required.
- A Master's or advanced degree is desired.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and experience in statistical process control.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, customers, and suppliers.
- Experience with tracking non-conformance as well as rework and scrap rates.
Responsibilities
- Support operations with the assembly, test, certification, and shipment of products.
- Create and maintain assembly work instructions, drawings, and other production documentation.
- Drive improvement projects to meet cycle time targets and product specifications.
- Initiate and drive Engineering Change Orders and create test/assembly documentation.
- Analyze manufacturing data via statistical process control to drive process improvements.
