Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Deep Learning Computer Architect to join their deep learning architecture team. This role focuses on designing hardware accelerator and processor architectures that enhance machine learning and data analytics. The architect will collaborate with diverse teams, including DL researchers and hardware architects, to advance the state of AI. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD degree in computer science, computer architecture, electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in computer architecture, performance analysis, and optimization.
  • Experience with LLM workloads and performance tuning considerations.
  • Proficiency in programming with C++ and ideally Python.
  • Experience with GPU computing (CUDA) and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to features that help next-generation GPUs advance the state of AI.
  • Analyze the behavior of various deep learning methods.
  • Propose new features to accelerate or enable various deep learning methods.
  • Study the benefits of the proposed features.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including DL researchers and software engineers.
