Job description
The role is for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the Analytics & Data Management (ADM) team at Amazon, focusing on building scalable and distributed engineering systems for a large data lake. The team is responsible for unifying petabytes of data generated across the Ads pipeline, enabling various stakeholders to make informed decisions. The SDE will design and innovate solutions that enhance system availability and performance, utilizing technologies such as Java and AWS. This position offers the opportunity to impact business growth through robust microservices and big data technologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Engage with key decision makers to understand customer requirements and brainstorm solutions
- Design, code, and deploy components and micro-services for the core job management pipeline
- Ensure testability, maintainability, and low operational footprint for your code
- Participate in operational responsibilities with your team
- Innovate on AWS technology to improve latency, reduce cost, and enhance operations
