This role is for a software development engineer focused on enhancing DynamoDB, one of the largest distributed database systems. The team is dedicated to solving complex scaling challenges and improving service performance. Engineers will work on building and optimizing large-scale services while collaborating with motivated teams. The position emphasizes hands-on involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, manage, optimize, and re-imagine highly distributed, large-scale services.
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Participate in designs, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation.
- Deliver quality features on-time and on-budget while executing against project plans.
- Contribute to the intellectual property of Amazon through patents and external publications.
