Job description

The Software Development Engineer role within the UPX team focuses on building highly scalable software systems to enhance customer payment experiences. The team is dedicated to modernizing architecture using cutting-edge technologies and solving complex engineering challenges. Engineers will work collaboratively across multiple teams to design and develop product features that prioritize efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to innovate and contribute to the development of reliable, low-latency services.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Build highly scalable software systems to meet the rapid growth of Amazon's Business
  • Evolve and build services that are highly reliable and extremely low latency
  • Design the direction of the payment experience working with multiple different teams across the company
  • Build the next generation systems for simplifying customer's payment experience and enable rapid experimentation
